Spousal and Child Maintenance means money or assets between husband and wife or parent and child to cover necessary living expense such as housing, food, cloth, education and medical. Parent require to support their child until they reach age of maturity. Even if parents divorced, they still have the obligation to continue supporting their child.
The amount of maintenance for each family depends on the living condition and occupation of the party responsible for providing support. Furthermore, the appropriate amount of the expenses for the child must also be taken into account when determining the amount of maintenance.
If one party does not pay child maintenance, the other party is entitled to file a lawsuit to claim for such amount.
